  • Learning and grading is a yearlong process. Standards are reinforced and refined throughout the year. There is no finite end to growing your musicianship.

Grades are based on rehearsals, performances, and oral and aural music theory skills. Grades will be updated in PowerSchool every two weeks.

Proactive communication is key. If you are not able to complete a project because you need clarification, ask for help ASAP or in case of a family emergency contact Mrs. Sene through email (acaloca@nsd131.org).

  • Required performances are mandatoryDriver’s ed, athletic practices, etc. are not an excuse to miss a performance. A live performance in front of an audience cannot be replicated.

Reference and keep the Choir Calendar in a visible place in your home and in your choir binder during the school year. I do not expect the calendar to change but, if need be, notice will be given as soon as possible.

  • We will continue requesting donations for our quarterly concerts. These donations will help us go towards Chambe and Con Brio going to NYC this Spring. Donating to the choir program will ensure 100% of your financial support goes directly back to the CHS Choir program.

  • T-shirts:

Students will be given a choir t-shirt if they are new to the program or have outgrown their shirt from last year. Shirts will be measured in adult sizes. The shirts run true to size. Select a size that is comfortable to perform in and fits properly.
